Puppy ‘Sad and Alone’ At Shelter After All His Siblings Are Adopted

A tiny, sweet Cattle Dog puppy named Sawyer was “sad, alone, and with a cone” after watching all of his siblings get adopted at Elmbrook Humane Society (EBHS) in Wisconsin.

In an effort to help “the last baby” find a home, EBHS shared an adorable video of Sawyer sitting in his kennel, captioning it, “We’re hoping he won’t have to wait here too long.”

Sawyer and his littermates were rescued from a puppy mill. The shelter noted that Cattle Dogs are smart and affectionate but require regular exercise and mental stimulation, adding that puppy training can be extremely beneficial. Dog lovers quickly spread the word, and just a few days later, Sawyer was ready to leave the shelter.

EBHS shared a heartwarming video of a couple adopting Sawyer, writing, “Great news, Sawyer is no longer sad, alone, or in a cone!”

It turns out Sawyer didn’t have to wait too long after all!
