A litter of puppies were found abandoned on a remote mountain trail and brought to Takis shelter in Greece. All the puppies were petrified of humans and wouldn’t let anyone touch them. They were also covered in so many fleas and ticks they were put on medication right away.
Takis initially figured it would take just a few days for the puppies to relax but the puppies were still scared of people weeks later. In fact, it took Takis and volunteers months of work to get the puppies to allow them to pet them. They were just so traumatized.
But it was when the pups went to foster homes that things really changed.
After time with loving families, the puppies continued to be socialized and all six puppies were successfully rehabilitated and adopted!
