The moment Brianna met Opal she knew she wanted to foster the injured puppy. She doesn’t know how the pup became a stray or sustained her injuries, but she knows the puppy has a resilient spirit. She also charmed Brianna’s dog Duke so much he begged his mom to keep her.
Opal had a terrible injury to her jaw, which required it to be wired shut for five months. The moment Duke and Opal met, they loved each other. Brianna says they bonded so quickly it was hard to keep the two separate from one another while Opal’s jaw healed. But the moment she was better, it was clear that Opal wasn’t going anywhere and that she was staying with Duke!
