Kurt Paul Hieronymus submitted this surveillance video to DogHeirs that captured the moment his mom came to the rescue of her dog, after he accidentally runs into an icy pool.
“Video of my Mother rescuing our dog Dexter after he fell into an in ground pool. 25 degrees [-3 C],” writes Kurt. “A Coton de Tulear runs from his mother into an in-ground swimming pool, she then jumps in to save him. She is then rescued by her co-workers. Both dog and owner were fine after a trip to the hot tub.”
This was not the family’s pool, but it shows how important it is to be mindful when pets are around swimming pools no matter what time of year.
