Koda the Bernese Mountain dog Great Pyrenees mix decided her newborn puppies needed a stuffed toy in their “crib.” Koda’s sweet gesture was first noticed after her mom, Kate McNeil, kept finding Koda’s stuffed toy rabbit in the dog bed with the 13 puppies instead of the desk in the spare room where it usually sits.
Kate would return the stuffed toy to its usual place but again and again found the toy with the puppies. She quickly realized that it was Koda bringing the toy to her babies!
Kate caught the doting mama dog on camera in action. She now lets the puppies (and Koda) keep the toy in the bed. But we have to wonder if the stuffed rabbit is also some comfort to this busy mom? Or maybe Koda thinks her plush toy is puppy number 14? Whatever her reason, it’s adorable!
