While out on their daily routine feeding the stray dogs in Greece, Valia and her fellow rescuers with DAR Animal Rescue noticed a dog lying under a tree. When Valia stopped to feed him she looked into his eyes and immediately knew that he was sick and needed help.
Valia quickly ran out to him, scooped him up and took him to the car. The spaniel is likely a hunting dog cast aside when he got sick and was no longer useful. As Valia drove the dog to the vet he howled from his crate. But he was patient, gentle and calm as the vet checked him over. He may have been cast off and left to die, but he’s in caring hands now!
