A young stray dog on the streets of a town in Serbia was starving and sick when Milan with Dog Rescue Shelter Mladenovac received a call from a concerned Good Samaritan. He immediately drove out to rescue the poor hound. Milan extended his hand and called the skinny dog to him. The dog approached him with a wagging tail and gratefully went with Milan, no doubt relieved that someone was finally showing interest in him.
Milan took Hopi to the vet where the hound was diagnosed with babesiosis and demodicosis. The dog was so sick he wouldn’t eat. But after a week in hospital, Hopi began to start eating. Soon, Hopi was gaining weight and looking much healthier. And in more positive news, Hopi came to the attention of a wonderful family who has changed his life. They adopted him and he is now in a loving home!
